Getting Fit on Just a Few Dollars
Getting Fit on Just a Few Dollars
Getting fit and maintaining my fitness levels is an extremely important aspect of my life.
As a young 22 year old, I do not have an abundance of cash to spend on expensive gym memberships or fancy equipment. Thus, over the past couple of years, I have been exploring cheaper options to keep my fitness up.
Here are just a few of my tips that can maybe help you!
Local HIIT Class
Joining a gym can be quite expensive long term. Last year I discovered a local HIIT class, run by a lovely personal trainer. My class is at a local park which have built in weights and equipment that are free to use. Having a set class to attend and a group of amazing people makes exercising so much more fun.
The Glute Loop!
This has been such an awesome find! Essentially, it is thick elastic band that can be used in a variety of exercises to increase resistance on the thighs. It has been amazing to add to my gym routine in order to make it more challenging. I use it when doing sit ups, hip thrusts, and other abdominal exercises that requires me to lay down. You can even use it for squats! To find the Glute Loop, visit this page: https://gluteloop.com.au/products/glute-loop
Free Yoga!
I love yoga! Yoga is amazing for a healthy mind and a healthy body. Every Saturday and Sunday at the Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane, there is a free 1 hour class run by volunteer yoga instructors. I attend as many classes as I can! Yoga is so
important for my body, as it focuses on breathing, flexibility, balance and much more. To find out more information on these classes, join the Facebook groups Mt Cootha Gardens Yoga and Mt Cootha Sunday Yoga.
I hope these suggestions have helped give you some ideas on how you can get fit for only a few dollars!
