My 2022 in Review
I feel like this year has flown by, but after reminiscing, I’ve realised that I have done so much and have had many incredible experiences! So here is my 2022 in review! Enjoy!
Trips Away
I went to Caloundra
and Mooloolaba earlier this year for trips away. I spent my days checking out beaches,
relaxing, eating delicious food and watching sunsets with good company <3
Blue Hair
I dyed my hair for the first time last New Year’s Eve! I’ve kept the tips of my hair blue all year round, just by refreshing the colour every couple of months. I’ve really loved having my hair blue! I think it represents me and my personality perfectly.
Hikes and
walks
I’ve always
loved nature and walks, and this year I have continued this passion by trying different
trails! I’ve explored Karawatha Park Nature Reserve, Daisy Hill Conservation Park,
and Enoggera Reserve, just to name a few!
Days at Redcliffe
Redcliffe
has been such an amazing place to visit on days out! Walking along the pier,
getting lunch at cafes along the coast, and enjoying the views have been the
highlights! Shout out to Elif for showing me where all the good spots are!
CRC Residential
Workshop
I attended
the CRC residential workshop in July! This was the final component of
completing my work with the Sylvia Rodger Academy on co-producing research. It
involved a weekend full of lectures and workshops with academics and
researchers. It was so great to meet everyone
in person, and I am so proud of everything that was accomplished!
Cooking
with Instapot
This year I have
gotten more into cooking! The Instapot has been such a gamechanger, as it is so
easy to use! I’ve made meals from scratch with it or used it to heat up leftovers.
If you are thinking of getting one, I’d
definitely recommend it!
Baby Shower
and Meeting Zara
I celebrated
my good friend Elif becoming a mum this year at her baby shower! It has also
been amazing to meet the beautiful baby Zara and seeing her grow so much
already. I’m loving being the cool Aunty Jamie <3
Amy Shark
Concert
I went to the
Amy Shark concert this year at QPAC! It was such an awesome night and so cool
to see live music again! I love music, so being a part of that scene is so much
fun. I am keen for more gigs next year!
Engagement
Party and Toowoomba
I went to my
friend Mindy’s engagement party in Toowoomba! I loved dancing with friends and celebrating
this special milestone. It was good to recover from the celebrations the next
morning, by relaxing in one of Toowoomba’s many amazing parks.
Porch Oasis
I’ve created
an oasis on my porch, with the addition of some gorgeous golden canes. It is
amazing the different some plants can make to your porch, in terms of
relaxation and privacy! It feels like a holiday in your own home!
House and
Pet Sitting
I really
enjoyed house sitting while my parents went away for 10 days! It has made me even
more keen to have a house of my own! Pet sitting Zeus was also fun, but a good
reminder how much work and attention a dog needs! I am going to wait to get my
own dog and just enjoy my 20s without that responsibility!
Birthday!
I loved celebrating turning 26 with the girls at my place. We had an afternoon soiree, with delicious drinks, snacks, games, and lots of laughs!
I hope everyone
has had a great year! I suggest you take a moment to reflect on the things you've
done, even if it's small. I'm looking forward to more fun and adventures next year, but also making some serious progress in my professional life and smashing some goals!
