The Benefits of Music
I believe that one of the best and easiest ways to reduce
stress is through music. I love that music is so easily accessible and is
available to people all over the world. It really is the global language that
everyone can understand and love!
For me, the best way to relax after a long day is to just chill on my couch and turn music on. I have also found that music gives me a source of calmness and peace that helps me to feel grounded in reality and helps ease my worries and pains. Recently I found an article that listed some of the health benefits of music. From this article I found that there is a difference between listening to fast and slow music. Where fast music can increase your heart rate and blood pressure, slow music can decrease your heart rate and blood pressure thus helping you to relax. I loved that the article also mentioned that the repetitive elements of rhythm and melody can help our brains to form patterns that increase our memory. Who would have thought that music and memory work so well together!
As well as improving our memory and relieving stress, music
can also help to ease pain and anxiety. In studies of people with cancer, those
that had music playing to them showed less anxiety compared to those who
received treatment without music. For me, I know that music has the ability to
relieve pain as it can be a distracting influence and can make the pain seem
insignificant.
Of course it has to be the right type of music for pain
relief only upbeat songs will do, none of this sad shit .
To me, the best part of music is its power to heal and ease
my worries. By turning on a good song I am instantly transported to my happy
place. That’s what I really love about music, it’s not a place or a thing it’s
something I can take with me everywhere I go.
MUSIC MOTIVATES US:
Music is a source of motivation for me, I love that when I
wake up in the morning all I have to do is turn on some music and I already
feel more prepared, centered and ready to start my day.That’s the beauty of
music, it can give us a boost and make us more aware and present in the moment.
I always enjoy listening to upbeat music, it gives me the energy I need for the
day and I especially love to listen to music when I
exercise! It is so great for me and it gives me the motivation and focus I need
to work out. It also makes me feel really happy and that’s why I love it!
MUSIC CONNECTS US:
I believe that music is definitely a way to connect people.
In my opinion sharing our music with people around us is a way to show that we
love them. People listen to music all around the world, it’s a global language
that connects us and makes the world a better place. Without music, life would
be boring!
