Staying Sane During Iso
I’m sure we
can all agree by now that staying inside sucks! We all wish we could put on our
best outfit and hit the town. But while we are all stuck inside it might be
worthwhile adding some of these useful tips and activities to your daily
routine.
Upskill
There are so
many free options and resources out there to upskill while you are stuck
inside. Whether it is something as simple as learning to cook or taking on a
new tertiary study. We have a lot of time on our hands, let’s not waste it!
Virtual
Game/Trivia Night
This just
might be my favourite one on the list. Just hook up an online game such as Jackbox to Zoom, it’s like you are altogether just
hanging with friends. Plenty of laughs with some wine, can make your night.
FaceTime
I’m sure
it’s a no brainer but you’ve got to talk to someone other than your pet. I love
facetiming all of my friends. It’s never the same when you text so pull up that
camera, your friends wont judge your pjs.
Staying
active
All I can
say is go for a walk. It is important to get that fresh air and get your body
moving. Staying active releases endorphins into your brain which is one of the
happiness hormones, happy body = happy mind. Stay safe, Stay sane.
Focus on Yourself
With all of
this madness going on it can be easy to forget about yourself. Its important to
slow down and take time to care for yourself. Whether that is taking a long
bath, moisturising, or having that extra glass of wine. You deserve it!
Yoga @ home
With so many
YouTube videos for yoga from beginners to advanced, you don’t have to leave
your house to stay calm and relaxed. This ties in with caring for yourself, it
is important to stay positive and stay sane.
