RELAX! My Tips to Keep Calm.

When life gets busy, you may find yourself feeling stressed and unsettled. My life can get pretty crazy too, so I have developed a few tips and tricks to relax so I can live life to the fullest! 

1.     Lavender oil
Not only does lavender smell great, but it also has amazing health benefits. Research has found that lavender can help with anxiousness, insomnia, depression, headaches and pain. When having a bath, you can add a couple of drops of lavender oil to the water which creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. You can find lavender oil in chemists, or most health shops! 


2.     Peppermint tea
When it comes to relaxing, peppermint tea is a must! Every night I enjoy a mug of peppermint tea before bed. Studies have shown that the menthol properties in peppermint is a natural muscle relaxant, therefore it helps with relaxation, alleviating anxiety and reducing mental pressures.

3.     Relax apps
Technology has made relaxation and mindfulness so easy and convenient. I use some great apps that guide me through meditation, as well as using visualization techniques to de-stress. This means that I can simply sit on the couch, open the app, and relax. I recommend the free app Rest and Relax.

4.     Yoga
