The Perfect Place for a Picnic

Being healthy does not just mean taking care of your physical self, but it involves taking care of your emotional and spiritual health too. Taking some time to do something for yourself is so important, therefore whenever I am feeling a bit cooped up, I love to grab some food and have a picnic somewhere.

For a picnic, Mount Coot-tha is my go-to place. The Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens are located at the base of the mountain, only 7km from Brisbane's CBD. The gardens are comprised of various different sections, including a Japanese Garden, a fern house, rainforests and much more. The hardest part is choosing a spot for your picnic because there are so many amazing places! I suggest heading to the rainforest section, as there are grassy areas with lots of shade.

Picnics are cheap because you don't need to buy anything fancy for a great time. I will normally just pack a sandwich, some chips, fruit and maybe a muesli bar.

All I take for a great picnic:
·       Food (of course)
·       Water
·       Picnic rug
·       Guitar
·       And a friend!

Let me know where your favourite picnic spot is!

Jamie.

p.s there are scrub turkey’s roaming around, so don’t let one steal your food!
